If your application is successful then we will pay your LEYF nursery directly and you will need to pay us back as per your payment plan.

You can apply to spread each or any month’s childcare fees any time within the 30-day period before the time you need to pay your nursery. Please take into account at least 5 days to process your application. We will pay your nursery only after your application has been successfully processed. 

For example, let’s assume that you want us to pay the December nursery fee which is due on the 1st of December.  In that case, we recommend you apply any time between the 1st and the 25th of November.  That will give us enough time (5 days) to assess your application before the due date of your payment .

The first step is to fill in the application form selecting the amount that you need, number of instalments, and providing us with your details to process the application. Following your application, we will conduct credit and affordability checks. We may ask you for additional documentation. We will notify you if your application is successful.

As part of each application, we will do a credit score check. When you apply for more than one month this will not appear on your credit report as multiple applications.

You can apply for as many months as you need. Because this is a Pilot Project, each month’s application will require a separate application. Please apply within 30 days from the time that you need us to pay the nursery fee.

In both cases, there will be no change in the T&C that parents have previously agreed with Little Steps Financing. Repayments of childcare fees that will have already been paid to childcare providers will continue pursuant to the agreements signed between the parents and Little Steps Financing.

In the unforeseen event that we need to stop operations or the “Little Steps” Porgramme, we will not be able to provide financing for future nursery payments. You will still need to follow the repayment schedule for each of the financing agreements that you have agreed to and we have serviced (i.e., we have paid the nursery on your behalf).

All payments will be made via Direct Debit from your Nominated Account as per your repayment plan. You will select your Nominated Account when you apply for financing. You can update your Nominated Account at any time by notifying us via email to

If you choose to cancel our Direct Debit, then we will not be able to take payment, and there may be a Fee for the cancellation. If you cannot proceed with a Direct Debit payment, please contact us at

If you can’t pay your Scheduled Payments on time, or think it is likely that you will not be able to pay your Scheduled Payments on time, you must contact us as soon as possible at

If you do not have the required funds in your Nominated Account on the repayment date to cover the full Scheduled Payment, we will attempt one more Direct Debit for the full Scheduled Payment from your Nominated Account two (2) days later. If the second attempt is unsuccessful, we will attempt to take a partial payment for half of the Scheduled Payment amount 3 days after that. If that is successful, then we will try to take the remaining half payment. For any Direct Debit attempt that is not on your scheduled date of repayment, we give you notice of the time and amount of the attempt before it is made.

Any late payments received from you will apply to the oldest outstanding Scheduled Payment. For example, if you have two outstanding payments from December and January, then any Late Payment will apply first on December’s Scheduled Payment and then on January’s scheduled payment.
